A good liveshow and a funky soulparty afterwards. I gotcha!
Bursting with an unpretentious enjoyment of the form, The Excitements from Barcelona play straight-ahead 60s-rooted soul music with energy and understanding.
An uncomplicated soul blast with a confident singer, a punchy rhythm section and a big-blowing horn team well versed in the soul canon.
A straight-to-the-point antidote of full-pelt soul and R&B, part of a "Blackcelona" movement attacking with a spirit that recalls the UK soul club circuit circa 1965.
